Abloy UK is proud to add a new padlock standard to its already impressive and comprehensive lists of padlock achievements by gaining certification to Loss Prevention Council Board (LPCB) LPS 1654 Issue 1.0.
The LPCB is part of the Building Research Establishment (BRE) and works with industry and government bodies to set the standards needed to ensure that fire and security products and services perform effectively. LPCB offers third-party approval confirming that products and services have met and will continue to meet these standards.
LPS 1654 Issue 1.0 is the latest LPCB standard for physical security and is seen as the ultimate test for padlocks incorporating the most stringent physical attack tests, intentionally designed to meet the security needs of the UK Infrastructure.
Padlocks that achieve LPCB approval to LPS 1654 have performed effectively in rigorous test programmes conducted by the BRE's highly experienced team of attack testers.
