RIBA-approved security CPD seminars now available from Abloy /Abloy/AbloyCOUK/News/prodmanagers_524x224.jpg High security locking specialist Abloy UK offers RIBA-approved CPD seminars at architects' premises, covering the very latest in security standards and technology. The course examines electric locking and access control systems, helping architects to design standards-compliant specifications that meet the requirements of fire door and escape door legislation. Michael Cunningham Architects has already taken advantage of the Abloy CPD seminars, with six staff completing the course at the company's Liverpool office, as Architect Mark Bennett explains: "We undertake CPD at least once a month to educate ourselves on new technologies. Ironmongery is a specialist area in its own right, so it's important that we keep up to date with standards and how they're evolving. The Abloy course was in-depth, informative and extremely useful, and one we would recommend to other architects' practices." The CPD seminars are based on Abloy's popular Academy courses, delivered at the company's dedicated training facility in the West Midlands. The Abloy Academy offers courses on a range of topics for architects with different levels of experience and understanding, from entry-level Foundations courses on standards applicable to door sets, to more advanced courses on door operators and access control system specification.
