Access control and Panic Escape

Normally words you would not want to hear in the same sentence; but here at Abloy UK we are forging ahead with a range of products that allow access control from outside, which also conform to BSEN1125 (Panic Escape) on the inside – giving panic egress by means of a panic bar.

We are able to offer a number of solutions including High Security three-point lock cases that allow for egress by panic bar. These can be either solenoid operated with outside handles, or motor locks for higher security and no outside handle. Both solenoid and motor locks feature deadbolt and deadlocking latch at the centre and two hook bolts placed above and below the central lock case.

Paul Radden, Senior Product Manager commented, “This configuration gives greatly increased security but all bolts are withdrawn by a panic bar for immediate escape as laid down in BSEN1125.  Single point versions of both the motor and solenoid lock cases are available. The range still offers the full complement of monitoring associated with the high quality Abloy lock cases, including request to exit signal on the inside handle, door monitoring and door locked.”
