Visiting IFSEC? Then make a date for our seminar.

Attend our IFSEC seminar "An introduction to door safety and security standards", and you will go into the draw to win an iPad.

On Tuesday 17th May from 4.00 to 4.30pm in the IFSEC Seminar Theatre, industry expert Pat Jefferies will host a seminar introducing guests to standards and what they mean when specifying and installing doors.

As self assessment of escape requirements are mandatory within the workplace, it is important to recognise “Fire Doors” and understand the escape risks and regulations applicable to public buildings, [i.e. non-residential]. Taking an objective approach as an industry expert, these standards and their use are explained in helping to specify compliant solutions and will be followed by an opportunity for questions and answers.

And one lucky attendee will win an iPad.

The ASSA ABLOY Academy runs a series of detailed course throughout the year, covering Foundations and Standards, locking solutions, door operators and more.

Since joining the Lock industry in 1989 in a mechanical role, Pat Jefferies has held a variety of positions and is now a Director at Abloy UK. Instrumental in setting up the Abloy/ ASSA ABLOY Academy, Pat is qualified as Dip. GAI (Guild of Architectural Ironmongers) and is a member of their Education team as well as sitting on the European standards committee and lectures widely on door safety and standards.
